Need help on guitar price?
I'm thinking of selling my Epiphone Sheraton II, which is vintage sunburst and in mint condition, in the newspaper classifieds. I've only had it for 2 months and plays like a beauty and I was wondering how much you would be willing to pay for it so I could get an idea on how much to ask.
50% new price is a good starting point for what you're going to get for a used instrument.
Any damage or wear will reduce that of course.
If it were a really special instrument (say a limited edition Martin or Bourgeois) things would be different, but a run of the mill B-brand will fetch you at most 50% of new, and quite possibly less.
